A Vintage Brand Meets a Storefront That’s Built for Now
Old-Soul Charm. Modern Sales Strategy.
Magoo’s Unique Gifts has been selling vintage-style home and garden décor since 1998, long before “antique-core” became a trend. From brass doorknockers to cast iron hooks, every item tells a story. Moreover, each sale comes with decades of experience behind it.
Until recently, they sold exclusively through large online marketplaces. They came to Plum ready to build a store of their own. Additionally, they wanted a brand identity that matched the heart behind the business.
We designed a clean, contemporary ecommerce site with easy navigation, simple checkout, and custom product categories. We also developed a new logo that hints at their vintage roots while giving them a sharper, more recognizable identity online.
Designing a brand mark for Magoo’s meant balancing vintage personality with modern functionality. We started with an ornate concept, then stripped away unnecessary detail to make sure it would scale, read cleanly, and feel aligned with their product line.
The final logo uses a classic-inspired typeface with a subtle twist, something that feels right at home on a cast iron sign or a digital storefront. It’s simple, readable, and instantly recognizable. Just like a good logo should be.
Magoo’s needed a shop that could house dozens of SKUs across a wide range of styles, sizes, and themes, without overwhelming the buyer. We built a clean ecommerce site that organizes their products by category and makes it easy for visitors to search, browse, and purchase gifts that feel one-of-a-kind.
The end result? A site that’s just as intuitive for the business owner as it is for their customers.
